Kitset Assembly Services are committed to making a difference to the world we live and operate in, so have adopted a 4 ‘branch’ approach.

Reduction of consumption through discerning choice.
Our commitment is to ensure the decisions we make, with regards to our physical locations, consider the options for energy efficiency and reduced, or neutral carbon emissions.
Buildings and their construction account for as much as 20% of countries emissions. Our selection of premises for support offices will require a minimum 5 Green Star rating.
Included in this requirement will be the need for the building to incorporate;
- Effective energy use and containment
- Feasible transport options including shared, public, pedal and pedestrian
- Grey water re-use
- Rain water collection and use
- Construction with materials non-damaging to environment in production
- Recycling opportunities and processes
- Low to no building emissions
WASTE
The mindful and deliberate consideration for the disposal of waste products.
Our Assembly Services business sits at the end of the supply chain. We put together ready to assemble products for customers, that have been purchased directly from the manufacturers or resellers. Products that have been freighted, in many cases across the globe, are packed and packaged to protect against damage caused in transit. Whilst consumers might see the cardboard box as an easily disposable and recyclable item, inside there is often additional padding made from polystyrene, timber, metal and all manner of plastics.
In many cases, it could be said we are left to solve the problems we didn’t create. However, we take a proactive role here and have
a genuine commitment to assist our customers and supply partners with the ethical disposal and repurpose of all rubbish we encounter, by asking ourselves the following questions when creating waste polices and guidelines:
1. Can the waste/packaging be recycled?
2. Can this be repurposed?
3. If it has to be disposed, how? (e.g wrapped burialer burning)
Did you know ... Polystyrene can be repurposed. Landscaper’s use this behind retaining walls as light weight, non biodegradable fill, or as drainage in the bottom of pot plants. On a larger scale, by grinding down the polystyrene blocks, applying heat, a molten product can be made into blocks, without releasing any carcinogens or burning. The blocks can then be turned into non-structural plastics, like picture frames. However, it takes 80 cubic meters of polystyrene to produce one cubic metre of blocks. That’s a big collection, storage and conversion process (12 hours), but it’s important in saving it from landfill or worse, the waterways & oceans.
FLEET
The ongoing transition to renewable and sustainable fuels.
In a world caught up in the Electric Vehicles (EV) craze and the Tesla story, we often overlook what truly sustainable or renewable energy is.
In a fast evolving technology environment, we constantly evaluate the options available, assess the benefits, whilst considering the limitations. Our commitment is when and where there are solutions that make commercial sense to the various sectors of our network and business, we will also evolve policy to move away from vehicles requiring fossil fuels.
Whilst we are yet to land on a decisive and feasible fleet solution, we are consistently reviewing and developing our proprietary software to consider effective route planning and movement scheduling, to reduce emissions from the fleet of vehicles operated.

Active and practical applications that strive for betterment of future life, through balance.
As the ultimate parasitic resident, the human race consistently consumes this planets natural resources. In the process, the waste, toxins and pollutants are largely left for the planet to deal with.
Along the way, our human desires drives technology, compounding and accelerating the use of these finite resources whilst tipping the balance towards non-sustainability of life on planet earth.
In our business, its our job to join things. We inherently realise that bringing things together, connecting and assembling them creates much larger and greater things. It’s a realisation we have adopted in our Kitset culture. When we assemble as a network, when we are connected and joined, we too can create much larger and greater things.
In this formation, our commitment, as we gather for our annual National conferences, is to look for ways to help our local host community and region, giving the planet a helping hand in the process.

So more than just buying Carbon Credits to pay for our sins, our
definition of Offset is much wider and encompasses the balance in
our own lives, the ones we care about and an environment we are
tasked to preserve, for future generations to come.
